About Kisan Ko Poko

Operated by the Nepal Agricultural Cooperative Central Federation Ltd. (NACCFL), Kisan Ko Poko (KKP) is a retail and e-commerce platform that serves as a trusted marketplace for authentic agricultural products grown by farmers across Nepal.

This initiative strengthens sustainable agriculture by bridging the gap between rural producers and urban households through a seamless "Farm-to-Kitchen" model. The process begins with local small farmers and cooperative-led enterprises cultivating high-quality produce, which is then aggregated to ensure collective economic strength and transparent pricing. These goods are transported to the KKP central outlet for processing and quality packaging before being delivered directly to the consumer.

By leveraging this robust cooperative network, KKP empowers rural growers with expanded digital market access while guaranteeing that urban families receive fresh, safe, and ethically sourced food.

Our Project Support & Partnerships

This platform is a key initiative supported under the "Towards More Organic (Sustainable) and Safe Food in Sindhupalchok, Kavrepalanchok and Ramechhap Districts" (SFVC) project. The project drives economic recovery by focusing heavily on sustainable, chemical-free farming and farmers' health across the three target districts.

The SFVC Project is implemented by FRDEV, with technical support provided by Triangle Génération Humanitaire (TGH Nepal) and Médecins du Monde (MdM). This collective effort is generously funded by donor agencies, including the Agence Française de Développement (AFD), Fondation de France (FDF), and the Foundation Lord Michelham of Hellingly, all working together to promote sustainable agriculture, safe food systems, and improved livelihoods for smallholder farmers.

Scaling for the Future with FAO

In a strategic partnership to enhance and scale the Kisan Ko Poko (KKP) platform, this digital initiative is collaborating with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations under the Global Agriculture and Food Security Programme (GAFSP), aims to combat chronic food insecurity and malnutrition in the Badhaiyatal, Barbardiya, and Bansgadhi municipalities of Bardiya district. Implemented in close coordination with all three tiers of government, research institutions, and local cooperatives, FAO’s technical backing will elevate KKP from a local marketplace into a modern e-commerce ecosystem optimizing agricultural supply chains.
